Inspired by the works of PUSH Physical Theater, Frantic Assembly, The Wooster Theater Group and playwrights such as Branden Jacob-Jankins, Duncan McMillan, and Jen Silverman, Carly is interested in work that sparks conversation and challenges its audience to look at the world differently. Drawn to work that confronts the obstacles presented at the root of theater making, Carly strives to create an environment where curiosity can flourish. Moreover, Carly is incredibly passionate about making theater that is not only equitable but is also eco conscious and sustainable.

In 2023, Carly joined Alyssa Schmit and Ali Ross, two theater professors at the Boston Conservatory, along with a group of other students and faculty in the Coastal Climate For Change Project. During its devised process, the team collaborated with The Wood Holes Science Aquarium, Superhero Clubhouse and local Climate Activists in the boston area to create a 3 day interactive theater experience surrounding community building and sea level rises in Boston.
